Before Netherfield was Bingley’s…
It is May 1810. Netherfield Park’s owner, Mr George Edgcote, has left the neighbourhood and his estate is TO LET. And naturally, Meryton has opinions.
Discover the rumours surrounding his departure, meet Meryton’s Finest Four & Twenty, become acquainted with the Bennets of Longbourn and the Lucases of Lucas Lodge, explore Regency fashion and interiors, tackle troublesome muddy hems and journey north to discover how Gretna Green became Britain’s most notorious wedding destination.
Alongside stories created especially for this edition, you’ll find favourite Chronicle features including Herstory, Dear Jane and the Almanac.
Everything you need to know about Meryton before a wealthy young gentleman takes Netherfield, the militia marches into town and the neighbourhood is thrown into a most delightful fluster.
One is fiction. One is history.
The fun begins when they meet.
The First Chronicle is a completely standalone experience. Enjoy it on its own, or as the perfect prelude to Season One.
