<strong>The Meryton Chronicle</strong> and related products. Please read them carefully before placing an order.</p>

<p><strong>The Meryton Chronicle</strong> is a handcrafted, printed newspaper accompanied by curated “Regency Curio” sets and other themed items.
Every issue is made with care and may vary slightly in design or materials due to its artisanal nature.</p>
<h2>3. Subscription Options</h2>
<p>We currently offer:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Monthly Subscription:</strong> billed automatically each month.</li>
<li><strong>Full Journey Subscription:</strong> a single upfront payment covering all issues in the series.</li>
<li><strong>Season Bundle:</strong> a limited-edition one-time purchase including several issues dispatched together or on scheduled dates.</li>
</ul>
<p>Full details, contents, and dispatch schedules are listed on the product page at the time of order.</p>
<h2>4. Pricing & Payment</h2>
<p>All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include applicable UK VAT (if registered).
Payment must be completed at checkout via the secure methods provided.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing or discontinue products without prior notice, but confirmed orders are not affected.</p>
<h2>5. Delivery</h2>
<p>Orders are dispatched via <strong>Royal Mail</strong> and/or an equivalent <strong>partner tracked postal service</strong>.
For international orders, Royal Mail may hand over to trusted local partners (for example, UPS or USPS) for final delivery.
Dispatch and delivery aims are displayed on product pages; all services are subject to Royal Mail’s delivery schedules and seasonal variation.</p>
<h2>6. Cancellations & Refunds</h2>
<h3>6.1 Your Right to Cancel</h3>
<p>Under the <strong>UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013</strong>, you have the right to cancel your order within <strong>14 days</strong> of receiving it.
To qualify for a refund, items must be returned <strong>unused, in their original condition, and with any sealed or packaged components unopened in resaleable condition</strong>.
Please email <strong>hellohappilyeverausten@gmail.com</strong> within 14 days to request cancellation.
You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or sent in error.</p>
<h3>6.2 Subscription Cancellations</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Monthly Subscriptions:</strong> may be cancelled at any time before the next billing date.
Cancellations made after payment has been processed will apply to the following month.</li>
<li><strong>Full Journey Subscriptions and Season Bundles:</strong> are one-time purchases for pre-scheduled issues.
After dispatch of the first issue, cancellations are not eligible for refund except in the case of damage or fault.</li>
<li>If you wish to cancel before dispatch, please contact us promptly — we’ll do our best to accommodate.</li>

<h3>6.3 Faulty or Damaged Items</h3>
<p>Please report any damage or missing items within 7 days of delivery, including photos where possible.
We will offer a replacement or refund as appropriate.</p>
<h2>7. Non-Delivery</h2>
<p>If your order has not arrived within 21 days of dispatch, please contact us so we can investigate with Royal Mail or their delivery partner.
We cannot accept responsibility for incorrect or incomplete addresses provided at checkout.</p>
<h2>8. Intellectual Property</h2>
<p>All text, images, and designs appearing in <strong>The Meryton Chronicle</strong> and related materials are the property of Happily Ever Austen.
Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written consent is prohibited.</p>
<h2>9. Privacy</h2>
<p>Your personal data is used only for order fulfilment and communication, in accordance with our
<a href="#" target="_blank">Privacy Policy</a>.</p>
<h2>10. Governing Law</h2>
<p>These Terms are governed by the laws of <strong>England and Wales</strong>.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.</p>
