What will I receive?

Thirteen Meryton Chronicle newspapers - The subscription includes 12 x standard issues followed by a special finale issue delivering you a total of 13 x issues by the end of your subscription.

Each issue contains:

  • Austen Reimagined: A fresh new way to experience Pride and Prejudice and Meryton society
  • Dear Jane: Meet Meryton’s resident Agony Aunt
  • Herstory: Accounts of obstinate, headstrong women
  • La Belle Modiste: Explore authentic Regency fashions and bon ton styles

Paired Chronicle Curio sets - a collection of themed ephemera accompanying each issue. Each Curio set features:

  • Letters Untold: Read the thoughts and observations of Abigail, Caroline Bingley’s lady’s maid, told through letters. You’ll hear things others don’t!
  • Fun keepsakes, featuring delightful extras such as postcards, recipes, stickers and more - all thoughtfully created to bring you an immersive storytelling experience

What postal service do you use?

We use Royal Mail and shipping is charged per issue as each issue ships. Please see the following for more location specific info:

UK ORDERS

FIRST DISPATCH

The first dispatch will be shipped via Royal Mail 48 tracked service to your given delivery point. Your dispatch will be enclosed in a hard backed C4 envelope with the contents inside a sealed protective pocket. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number.


SUBSEQUENT DISPATCHES


After your first issue, all subsequent dispatches are sent via standard delivery and will be sent via Royal Mail standard second class service, which is NOT a tracked service and has a delivery aim of two to three working days.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

FIRST DISPATCH

The first letter will be shipped via Royal Mail International tracked service which is fully tracked to your given delivery point. Royal Mail delivery aim is as follows:

Europe - 3 to 5 working days (Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Luxembourg)

Worldwide - 5 to 7 working days

Your dispatch will be enclosed in a hard backed C4 envelope with the contents inside a sealed protective pocket. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number.

SUBSEQUENT DISPATCHES
After your first issue, all subsequent dispatches are sent via standard delivery and will be sent via Royal Mail standard International service, which is NOT a tracked service and has a delivery aim of:

Europe - 3 to 5 working days (Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Luxembourg)

Worldwide - 6 to 7 working days

What is the billing cycle?

Your billing schedule depends on the subscription journey you choose. All subscriptions include the full 13 issues of the Meryton Chronicle, with billing structured around your selected journey length.

3 Month Journey

You’ll be billed every 3 months (quarterly) at £42 GBP.

As the complete Meryton Chronicle experience consists of 13 issues, the final billing period is higher than the standard quarterly payment.

The final payment is £56 GBP, which includes the remaining 4 issues to complete the full journey.

6 Month Journey

You’ll be billed twice in total.

Your first payment is £84 GBP at the time of purchase. As the complete Meryton Chronicle experience consists of 13 issues, the final billing period is higher with a second payment of £98 GBP, which includes the remaining seven issues to complete the full journey.

The Complete Chronicle

This option is billed once, upfront at £175.50 GBP, with no renewals or additional subscription charges.

Shipping

Shipping is charged monthly, as each issue is dispatched individually.

Renewal reminders & ending your subscription

You’ll receive a reminder email one week before any renewal, clearly stating the upcoming amount with the option to opt out if you wish.

All subscriptions automatically end once you’ve received your final issue, completing your Meryton Chronicle journey.

Refund policy

We want you to enjoy your Meryton Chronicle journey with confidence and clarity.

Subscription cancellations & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel partway through your chosen journey, you’ll be refunded for any remaining, undelivered issues, provided they have not yet been dispatched.

Once an issue has been dispatched, it is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable.

This policy applies equally to the 3 Month Journey, 6 Month Journey, and Complete Chronicle subscriptions.

Shipping

Shipping costs are charged monthly as each issue is sent and are non-refundable once incurred.

Completing your journey

All subscriptions automatically end once you’ve received your final issue. If you choose to cancel before then, your refund will be calculated based on the issues remaining at the time of cancellation.
